Answer: The narrator in the story would be Emerson Watts. You find out she (Emerson Watts) is the narrator of the novel, because from the beginning sentence of the story; "Emerson Watts, called my first period Public Speaking teacher, Mr.Greer, startling me form the light doze into which I'd drifted." you can tell she is referring to herself because she uses "my", and "I'd" which refers she is talking about herself.
